SoliPaper X-grade is the proven standard within the SoliPaper range, combining Generation III Ultra Low Shot technology with a reliable 1260°C classification temperature and continuous operating capability up to 1100°C. Designed for high-temperature gasketing, sealing and expansion joint filling applications. It offers an excellent balance of thermal insulation, flexibility and mechanical strength and the smooth, low-dust paper structure ensures easy handling and consistent performance in service. Available in both standard industrial rolls and large-format jumbo rolls for efficient die-cut gasket production.

Product introduction

SoliPaper X-grade is the standard RCF1260-grade within the SoliPaper range, developed for high-temperature joint filling, gasketing and sealing applications. It is widely used in industrial furnaces, kilns and thermal process equipment where reliable heat containment, process stability and long-term performance are essential.

Manufactured from Generation III, 1260°C rated SoliWool® refractory ceramic fiber, SoliPaper X-grade combines excellent thermal insulation properties with low shot content, high flexibility and dependable handling strength. The advanced fiber quality and optimized production process create a high fiber index, resulting in a stronger and more homogeneous paper structure. This enhanced fiber network improves tensile strength, resistance to tearing and dimensional consistency during converting, fabrication and installation.

Available in thicknesses from 1 to 10 mm, SoliPaper X-grade is produced within a density range of approximately 180 to 210 kg/m³, depending on thickness. This optimized density contributes to excellent mechanical integrity and sealing performance while maintaining the flexibility required for cutting, folding, laminating and die-cutting operations. As a result, the material is particularly suited for both industrial maintenance and high-volume gasket manufacturing.

An organic binder system provides the handling strength required during fabrication and burns out cleanly during first heat-up, beginning at approximately 250°C. At elevated temperatures, ceramic bonding mechanisms maintain structural integrity and thermal performance under demanding service conditions and repeated thermal cycling.

Common applications include expansion joint fillers, furnace door seals, hot-face gaskets and thermal barriers. Available in standard industrial rolls and large-format jumbo rolls, SoliPaper X-grade offers a proven and cost-effective solution for high-temperature process industries. With a classification temperature of 1260°C and a recommended continuous use temperature of up to 1100°C, it delivers reliable sealing and insulation performance in demanding thermal environments.

Packaging Options Designed Around Your Process

SoliPaper X-grade is available in two packaging formats, allowing customers to select the most efficient solution for their manufacturing and maintenance requirements.

Standard Rolls are supplied in widths of 610 mm and 1220 mm and packaged in compact cardboard cartons. Depending on the roll width, up to 42 rolls (610 mm) or 21 rolls (1220 mm) can be supplied on a single pallet. This format provides maximum flexibility for maintenance operations, workshops and lower-volume gasket production while ensuring easy storage, handling and material management.

Jumbo Rolls have been developed for high-volume converting and gasket manufacturing operations. The larger format significantly reduces roll changes, material handling and production interruptions, enabling continuous processing and higher throughput. Combined with the enhanced green strength of SoliPaper X-grade, converters can efficiently die-cut large quantities of gaskets and custom-shaped components with excellent dimensional consistency and minimal material loss. The result is increased productivity, reduced labour requirements and lower processing costs in demanding production environments.

SoliPaper JumboRoll Dispenser System – From Delivery to Production in Minutes

The SoliPaper JumboRoll™ Productivity System transforms the jumbo roll from a logistical challenge into a production-ready manufacturing format. Each roll is supplied in an integrated carton dispensing unit that protects the material during transportation, storage and processing.

Designed specifically for gasket converters and high-volume cutting operations, the system eliminates the need for dedicated unwinding stations, secondary handling and unnecessary material transfers. Operators simply position the pallet adjacent to the cutting equipment and feed the material directly into production.

The integrated rotating-core design provides smooth and controlled unwinding while maintaining maximum roll stability. By reducing handling steps and setup time, manufacturers can increase productivity, improve operational efficiency and reduce the risk of product damage.

This unique concept turns packaging into a functional production tool, helping gasket manufacturers process more material with less effort and greater consistency.
