SoliBoard PCW35 HT-Grade

SoliBoard™ PCW35 HT combines the high-temperature performance of mullite-grade PCW fibres with the economic advantages of advanced refractory ceramic fibre technology. Developed for demanding thermal processes, it provides an effective intermediate solution between conventional RCF insulation boards and premium full-PCW insulation materials. With a classification temperature of 1500°C and suitability for continuous operating temperatures up to 1350°C, it delivers reliable long-term performance in applications where conventional RCF boards approach their practical limits.

The board is manufactured from a carefully engineered blend of 35% mullite-grade PCW fibres and 65% proprietary micro-crystallized SoliWool™ HA fibres. Unlike conventional amorphous RCF and LBP fibres, both fibre components are already crystalline. This reduces the phase transformations associated with prolonged high-temperature exposure and improves dimensional stability, durability and resistance to pollutants, chemical attack and challenging furnace atmospheres. The result is a highly stable insulation board that combines excellent process reliability with a significantly more competitive cost position than full-PCW alternatives.

Produced on our state-of-the-art continuous board manufacturing line, commissioned in 2019, SoliBoard™ PCW35 HT benefits from advanced process control and an innovative combination of microwave and forced-air drying. This technology reduces water consumption and cuts drying energy demand by more than 50% compared with conventional methods. Combined with exceptional flatness, tight thickness tolerances and excellent machinability, the board can be easily cut, drilled, milled and CNC-machined, enabling precise fabrication with excellent edge quality and minimal waste.
