SoliBoard X-Grade

SoliBoard™ X-grade is the foundation of our refractory ceramic fiber board range and remains one of our most widely used insulation solutions worldwide. Manufactured from 1260°C-rated SoliBulk™ X-grade fiber, it is designed for continuous operation up to 1150°C and offers a proven combination of thermal performance, mechanical strength, and application versatility.

As the benchmark grade within the SoliBoard™ family, it forms the basis of a comprehensive product range that includes SoliBoard™ HA, SoliBoard™ ZR, and specialised High Strength and Inorganic board grades. Its broad operating window and balanced performance characteristics have made it a trusted solution across the iron and steel, petrochemical, ceramics, and process industries.

SoliBoard™ X-grade combines reliable thermal insulation with good dimensional stability and long service life. Its homogeneous, low-shot structure provides excellent machinability and allows accurate cutting, drilling, milling, and CNC machining of both standard and complex components. Performance has been verified through extensive testing at RWTH Aachen University and ICAR France.

Manufactured on our state-of-the-art continuous board line, SoliBoard™ X-grade benefits from an energy-efficient drying process that reduces energy consumption by up to 50% compared with conventional forced-air drying methods. The result is a uniform, lightweight board with consistent quality and a lower environmental footprint.
