SoliBoard ULS-Grade

SoliBoard™ ULS® is the cornerstone of our low bio-persistent fiber board range, offering an outstanding combination of thermal insulation, mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and ease of fabrication for demanding high-temperature applications. With a classification temperature of 1200°C, it is widely used for refractory linings, backup insulation, heat shields, burner blocks, and a variety of industrial thermal processing equipment.

Manufactured from our 1260°C rated SoliWool™ ULS® fiber and specially selected fillers, SoliBoard™ ULS® provides reliable thermal performance, low thermal conductivity, and excellent resistance to thermal shock. Its rigid yet lightweight structure ensures long service life while helping to reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency.

The name SoliBoard™ ULS® reflects one of its defining characteristics: our advanced Ultra Low Shot technology. The near absence of large shot particles results in a cleaner, more homogeneous fiber structure, enhancing thermal performance while minimizing dust during processing. Combined with exceptional flatness and tight thickness tolerances, SoliBoard™ ULS® delivers outstanding machining characteristics and can be easily cut, drilled, milled, and CNC-machined, allowing manufacturers and installers to achieve precise, repeatable results with excellent edge quality and minimal waste.

Produced on our state-of-the-art continuous board manufacturing line, commissioned in 2019, SoliBoard™ ULS® benefits from advanced process control and highly efficient drying technology. This enables the production of uniform, stable, low-shot boards while reducing energy consumption by up to 50% compared with conventional drying methods, contributing to a lower environmental footprint.

SoliBoard™ ULS® incorporates Generation III Ultra Low Shot technology and is exempt from classification and labeling requirements in Europe under Note Q of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, providing a high-performance and responsible insulation solution for modern industry.
