Niek test – SoliFelt™ ULS-grade

With SoliFelt™ we offer a range of latex bonded flexible felt products which can be used for gaskets and veneering modules. SoliFelt™ ULS-grade is our low bio persistence (LBP) based felt and has a classification temperature of 1200°C.

SoliFelt™ is typically used in applications where a flexible gasket made from SoliPaper cannot be used and when thicker material is required. SoliFelt™ is strong and sturdy, but also flexible and resilient after thickness compression. The maximum continuous use temperature is a guideline and only applicable in a clean oxidizing atmosphere.

All products in the SoliFelt™ range are manufactured from true Generation III, ultra clean and fine SoliWool fiber and organic binders. As a result SoliFelt™ has a very smooth surface, close dimensional tolerances, exceptionally low dust, high handling strength, better thermal insulating performance and greater resiliency after compression thanks to the superior fiber index.

All products in the SoliWool ULS fiber product range, like SoliFelt™ ULS, meet the requirements specified under NOTE Q of European Regulation 1272/2008. All SoliFelt™ ULS products are therefore exonerated from labelling requirements in Europe. Next to SoliFelt™ ULS we also offer SoliFelt™ in various Refractory Ceramic Fiber (RCF) grades.
